Technical News Office –Motorola is all set to roll out the Android 15 update for its users. However, Motorola is known for releasing software updates for its phones late and that hasn’t changed yet. However, the company has revealed its list of smartphones that will get the upcoming Android 15 update. However, many smartphones from Motorola are still not part of this list and surprisingly many of the latest models are missing from the list . Motorola’s upcoming Android update was discovered by YTechB after digging through Motorola’s US website. Updates are found on individual device pages rather than the official main list. YTechB has compiled a list that covers much of the Motorola lineup, including the Edge and Razr series as well as several Moto G models. Check if you have a Motorola phone in the list. This list may seem very long, but there are still many phones missing. For example, the entire Moto G 2023 lineup is missing, as well as the Motorola Edge 2023 and Moto G 2022 phones. Most surprisingly, the list also includes the Moto G Play 2024, which launched with Android 13 in January. a budget phone. It received the Android 14 update this month, but it is currently unclear whether it will receive the update in the future.
Motorola deserves some credit for its recent efforts to improve software support. The mid-range Edge 50 Neo, launched last month, has five major operating system updates and five years of security patches. On the other hand, competing brands like Samsung offer much longer support. For example, the Galaxy A16 comes with six years of OS and security updates, and the previous budget model had four OS updates and five years of security patches. We hope Motorola will try to improve further on this front.
