This list may seem very long, but there are still many phones missing. For example, the entire Moto G 2023 lineup is missing, as well as the Motorola Edge 2023 and Moto G 2022 phones. Most surprisingly, the list also includes the Moto G Play 2024, which launched with Android 13 in January. a budget phone. It received the Android 14 update this month, but it is currently unclear whether it will receive the update in the future.

Motorola deserves some credit for its recent efforts to improve software support. The mid-range Edge 50 Neo, launched last month, has five major operating system updates and five years of security patches. On the other hand, competing brands like Samsung offer much longer support. For example, the Galaxy A16 comes with six years of OS and security updates, and the previous budget model had four OS updates and five years of security patches. We hope Motorola will try to improve further on this front.
