Indian users will soon get 6G internet service, the government and TRAI have made comprehensive preparations.

Technical News Office – Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said the country is now gearing up to be recognized as a manufacturer of telecom products and equipment rather than telecom services. In this sense, discussions are underway with all States and all stakeholders. Along with products related to the telecommunications sector, work continues rapidly to also play a leading role in the world in semiconductor manufacturing.

India’s 6G plan
India’s strengths and knowledge in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and machine learning (ML) will be monetized. He said India also wants to become a global leader in developing 6G service. Therefore, we want India to file more and more patents related to 6G service and companies, startups and educational institutions are working in this direction. Scindia has made it clear that satellite spectrum will not be given away to anyone for free.

TRAI will prepare the formula
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) will prepare a formula to decide its price. He said the work will be carried out in accordance with the satellite spectrum allocation method provided in the Telecommunications Act. He said there were no satellite spectrum auctions anywhere in the world. Airtel chief Sunil Bharti Mittal, addressing the India Mobile Congress, had demanded an auction of satellite spectrum.

Increase in the telecom network
Scindia said the telecom network has grown by 1,400 percent in the last 10 years. Prices for voice calls and Internet services have fallen by 95 percent. An investment of Rs 4.26 lakh crore has been made to move from the 4G service phase to the 5G service phase. Scindia said proposals will be invited from all stakeholders for global standardization of telecommunications. These proposals will then be reviewed and global standards will then be decided.

He said India had selected 10 smart villages where 5G would be used for health, education and government services and then its impact would be presented to the world as a model. Addressing the Global Telecommunications Standardization Program (WTSA) on Tuesday, the Communications Minister said that earlier the telephone or mobile functioned as a telephone, now it has become a means of connecting hearts. As soon as someone has a cell phone in their hands, they are connected to banks, social insurance and all the necessary information, they are connected to the whole world.
