Mobile press office – Xiaomi presented a new budget smartphone in partnership with Qualcomm. The company has named this phone Redmi A4 5G. The company showcased this phone at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC 2024). This smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 mobile platform. The company said that this is the first smartphone in India to run on this chipset. The Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset is an SoC built on a 4nm process. Redmi has also estimated the price of this budget smartphone.
Redmi said on the occasion that it is the first smartphone in India to be powered by the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor. It will significantly improve the entry-level smartphone experience in India by providing advanced 5G connectivity to millions of people. It is manufactured using a 4nm process. It has a 50MP rear camera. There is also a secondary camera, details of which have not yet been revealed. This smartphone also has a 3.5mm audio jack.

Speaking of features, the new Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chip has a 90fps FHD+ display. It supports dual 12-bit ISP camera. Apart from this, it has a powerful modem for Gigabit 5G connectivity. It supports dual frequency GNSS (L1+L5), including NAVIC. The company has provided many additional features in this phone, but all the details have not been disclosed yet.

Redmi A4 5G will be launched in India soon. As for the price, the company has not yet disclosed it. However, the company said that it will be priced below Rs 10,000.
