Technical News Office – The number of 5G users has increased significantly in India. In 2022, the number of 5G users was only 10 million, or 1 crore. At the same time, this number has now increased beyond 180 million, or 18 crore. The main reason for this is the aggressive rollout of 5G by Reliance Jio and Airtel. India has become the fastest country in the world to deploy 5G service. 5G service has reached 98 percent of districts in the country. However, telecom companies have not yet deployed 5G service on a large scale.
5G users have grown rapidly
According to TRAI’s new report, the number of mobile users in the country has crossed 120 million. At the same time, the number of Internet users has also increased significantly. Reliance Jio has once again established its dominance. According to TRAI’s new report, the number of 5G users of the country’s largest telecom company has increased significantly. Jio’s 5G users grew from 130 million to over 147 million.
Jio’s profit increased
Despite private telecom companies increasing mobile tariffs in July, the number of Jio 5G users has not declined. However, in the last quarter, 10 million, or 1 crore users, moved away from Jio’s network. Due to the increase in mobile tariff, there has been a decrease in the number of users making Jio number as a secondary SIM card. However, the company’s average revenue per user (ARPU) has now increased from Rs 181.7 to Rs 195.1, due to which the telecom company’s net profit has also increased to Rs 6,536 crore.
You will get good 5G service
The company was already aware of the decline in the number of users due to the increase in mobile tariffs. The company said there were not many losses due to the declining user base. The company’s main goal is to provide the best 5G network. Homes can be connected via enhanced fixed wireless access (FWA) services. There has been a significant improvement in the company’s performance and ARPU.
