mobile press office,South Korean smartphone maker Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition. It will soon be available for sale in select international markets. This foldable smartphone is a little thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 presented a few months ago. Some features, including the display and camera, have also been improved.
However, initially, this smartphone will only be available in South Korea. The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition price is KRW 27,89,600 (approximately Rs 1,70,000). It comes in a single variant of 16GB + 512GB. Samsung said that this smartphone can be purchased in Black Shadow color. This foldable smartphone will be sold on Samsung websites and other online stores starting October 25. Customers purchasing the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will also receive discount coupons to purchase products such as Samsung’s Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. The screen of this smartphone is slightly larger than that of the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6. It has an 8-inch external screen and a 6.5-inch internal screen. The standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 had a 6.3-inch external display and a 7.60-inch internal display. Samsung said that compared to the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6, this smartphone is 1.5mm thinner and three grams lighter. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition has a 200-megapixel wide-angle main camera. No changes have been made to the rest of its cameras.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the Galaxy processor. This smartphone has 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. It also supports Galaxy AI, Samsung’s suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features for smartphones and other devices. During the first holiday sale, smartphone sales increased 11% year-over-year. This sale lasted 11 days. In recent years, the duration of this sale was seven to eight days. Samsung ranks first in terms of smartphone sales volume. It has achieved around 20 percent market share. The Galaxy M35, Galaxy S23, Galaxy A14, and Galaxy S23 FE are the company’s best-selling models.
