Vi recently announced its first grassroots eSports tournament, “Vi Game to Fame.” This tournament is aimed not only at professional players but also at all players who wish to establish themselves in eSports.

Tournament objective
“Vi Game to Fame” aims to democratize eSports gaming so that everyone can participate. India is one of the largest gaming markets in the world today, accounting for around 20% of total mobile game downloads. Through this tournament, Vi provides a platform to all players who want to showcase their gaming skills at the national and international level.

Tournament format
The first edition of this tournament begins today, October 1, 2024, and Call of Duty: Mobile will be played there. The grand finale of this tournament will take place at India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024, Asia’s largest technology festival. Registration to participate in the tournament will take place from October 1 to October 5, 2024. Players can register via the Vi website (myvi.in) and the Vi app.

The competition will take place in a hybrid model, in which participants will showcase their skills in an online elimination format. The top 6 teams from the online qualifiers will advance to the final round, where they will compete in a round-robin format divided into two groups. The top two teams will advance to the semi-finals and compete in a best-of-5 format. The winning team will have the chance to play a show match with the reigning CODM National Champions powered by Team Vitality.
