BSNL’s new intranet TV service is creating problems for Jio-Airtel, so many benefits will be available with more than 500 TV channels.

Technical News Office – Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced the launch of the first fiber optic based intranet service. This television service has been launched in certain regions of the country. Last month, BSNL launched this service under the name IFTV with its new logo and six new features. The company’s fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network will be used for this service.

Previously, the company had also launched Wi-Fi roaming. With this, BSNL customers will be able to use high-speed internet at the company’s hotspots across the country. This will reduce data costs for customers. The company said in a post on the social media platform Apart from this, it will also provide pay TV content and other live TV services.

This will not happen in BSNL’s IFTV service. The company said the data used for TV streaming will be separate from customers’ data packs and will not be deducted from FTTH packs. BSNL will offer unlimited data for this service. The Live TV service will be available to the company’s FTTH customers at no additional cost. BSNL said it will also support popular OTT platforms and streaming apps such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Netflix, YouTube and Zee5.

Apart from this, games will also be offered. However, the iFTV service is initially only compatible with Android TV. For this service, customers can download the BSNL Live TV app from Google Play Store. To subscribe to this service, you will need to register for it after downloading the BSNL Selfcare app from the Play Store. The popularity of OTT platforms and streaming apps has grown rapidly in recent years. As a result, their share in the consumption of entertainment-related content is also increasing rapidly.
