Technical News Office – Google gave Pixel users a big shock. According to Android Authority, Google has stopped working on its Pixel Tablet 2. With this move by Google, it seems that the tech company is planning to exit the tablet market. Reportedly, the new Pixel tablet was expected to have a better chipset, better camera and keyboard accessories.
According to Android Authority, rumors of the Pixel Tablet 2 being discontinued indicate that sales of the Pixel Tablet might not have been good. This is the reason why Google does not plan to invest further in the tablet market. Last week, rumors had surfaced about the features available in the now-discontinued tablet model and its associated keyboard accessories. Instead of standalone tablets, Google is now working on creating Focus Nest Hub and Hub Max.
These features were going to be available in Google Pixel Tablet 2
According to a report from Android Authority, the Pixel Tablet 2 was expected to feature an updated camera system. Existing Pixel tablets have 8 MP sensors on the front and back. So the camera on Tablet 2 needed to be upgraded. Additionally, Google was working on a prototype keyboard cover for the Pixel 2 tablet. It was said that this keyboard cover would be connected to the tablet using the rear pogo pin. There had previously been rumors of a stylus for the tablet, but it was never released. Google was supposed to introduce the stylus with the Pixel Tablet 2.
The Google Pixel Tablet 2 was supposed to be released in 2025, but no specific date has yet been set for its launch. This tab may have Android 15 or 16 preinstalled. No information has been revealed by the company as to whether or not this tab will be launched.
