The main rules of telecom companies will change from December 1, know what the impact will be on users of Jio, Airtel, Voda and BSNL.

Technical News Office –Many important rules related to telecoms will change from December 1st. TRAI has asked all telecom operators to strictly implement these rules. Previously, these rules were supposed to come into force on November 1, but they were later extended by a month. After which, these rules will come into force from December 1. These rules will affect all users including Jio, Airtel, Voda and BSNL. TRAI said these rules would be implemented to combat spam calls and messages.

Commercial messages will be monitored
Recently, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has implemented several rules to protect people from online fraud and scams. TRAI has asked telecom companies to implement ‘message traceability’. This major decision was announced in August and focused on commercial messages and OTPs (one-time passwords). These rules were to be implemented soon, but the deadline was later extended. Hence the postponement of the deadline

Let us tell you that initially telecom companies were given time till October 31 to implement the traceability rules, but after demand from big companies like Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL, the deadline was extended until November 30. This means that now is the time for businesses to implement these rules. From December 1, all businesses will have to follow TRAI rules to track commercial and OTP messages. It is worth noting that if Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL implement these traceability rules from December 1, it will be a big relief for users.

Discussion of these rules as well
A new rule will also be implemented from January 1, 2025, which will affect customers of Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL. The aim of these rules is to expand 5G infrastructure across the country. The government recently declared, under the Telecommunications Act, that now companies would no longer have to face many problems in installing a new tower. With the implementation of Right of Way (RoW), this entire process will become easier than before.
