Mobile press office – The launch of OnePlus’ upcoming ‘Ace’ smartphone series has been confirmed. The company announced that it will launch the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro in China in December. The special thing is that the Pro model of the Ace series will have the latest “Snapdragon 8 Elite” chipset, while the standard model will have a “Snapdragon 8 Gen 3” processor. Earlier, OnePlus China President Li Ji confirmed the upcoming Ace series. They claim that users will get a great gaming experience with the Pro model.
It is claimed that in terms of gaming, the Ace 5 Pro offers better frame rates than its competing models. It consumes less energy and does not heat up too much. It also performs better than the OnePlus Ace 5. The OnePlus Ace 5 may feature a 6.78-inch display, which will offer 1.5K resolution. A BOE X2 8T LTPO panel will be provided. The Ace 5 smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. A 50MP primary camera may come with it. It will have a 6,500 mAh battery, capable of supporting 100 watts fast charging.
On the other hand, the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro may feature a 6,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. The Pro model could be exclusive to the Chinese market, while the Ace 5 could to be rebranded as OnePlus 13R in other global markets including India. After launching in China, the Ace 5 is expected to launch in India in January as the OnePlus 13R.
Previously, some reports indicated that the company was also working on the OnePlus Ace 6 and Ace 6 Pro, which are expected to feature a 7,000mAh battery. However, this leak doesn’t appear to have much substance. If the company launches the Ace 5 series in December, then it will have to maintain some gap for the next series.
