Technical News Office – If you are also using Vodafone Idea (Vi) SIM card, this news is for you. Vodafone Idea (Vi) has reduced the validity of the Rs 479 plan. Additionally, the company has also reduced the data benefits available in this plan. For this reason, the plan has become more expensive than before. This corresponds to the increase in prices, which makes services slightly more expensive for users. Telecom companies want to charge users more, so they can improve their average revenue per user (ARPU) figures. A higher ARPU will give them more revenue and, therefore, better margins on their investments. Vi has also recently reduced the validity of the Rs 289 plan. Currently, here we are telling you about the Rs 479 plan.
What will you get now in VI’s Rs 479 plan?
TelecomTalk reported in its report that Vodafone Idea’s Rs 479 prepaid plan will now offer 48 days validity, 1GB daily data, unlimited voice calls and 100 daily SMSes. But previously this plan had a validity of 56 days and 1.5 GB of daily data. This means that not only has the service validity of this plan been reduced, but the company has also reduced the daily benefit of the data available in the plan. If you want 1.5GB daily data for 56 days from Vi, you will have to spend Rs 100 more as you will now have to upgrade to the Rs 579 prepaid plan.
Let us tell you that Airtel and Jio also offer a prepaid plan of Rs 579, in which customers get 1.5 GB of daily data with a validity of 56 days. The only problem with Vi’s plan is that it doesn’t include 5G. However, Jio and Airtel are now no longer offering unlimited 5G data with their Rs 579 plan. As mentioned above, in a similar move, Vi has also reduced the validity of the Rs 289 plan. The validity of Vi’s Rs 289 plan is now reduced from 48 days to 40 days. This has indirectly resulted in an increase of Rs 40 in the plan price for customers.
