Technical News Office – OnePlus has announced its new Starlight project in India. The Chinese company will invest Rs 6,000 crore in the country under this new project. Over the next three years, OnePlus will work towards customer service and the durability of its devices through this investment. Recently, the company announced a repair program to fix the display issue in OnePlus phones. Under this program, OnePlus users can get the affected screen of their phone repaired for free.
What is Project Starlight?
This Starlight project from OnePlus aims to increase the company’s service centers in India. The company will increase its service centers in India by 50 percent over the next three years. These service centers will open in India by the first quarter of 2026. However, the company has not shared specific numbers of its newly opened service centers. OnePlus said that the company has increased the number of its service centers by 11% in 2024. Apart from this, the Chinese company is also going to improve the service experience of Indian users. For this, OnePlus users can seek help from customer service via live chat, WhatsApp, etc. Currently, OnePlus has 40 exclusive retail stores and 33 authorized retail stores in India. Through this Starlight project, the company will try to offer a better service to its users.
Green line, worry-free solution
The company also announced a new worry-free Green Line solution for OnePlus users. Now OnePlus users will get a lifetime warranty for the green line issue. If there is a green line problem on a OnePlus phone, users will be able to replace it for free. The Chinese company will soon launch its flagship smartphone OnePlus 13. For this phone, the company has announced to provide an additional layer of protection on the AMOLED display. The company announced that it would resume its hardware testing for this purpose. This will be the first phone launched in India with a DisplayMate A++ display.
