Technical News Office – Meta will make changes to the monetization program of its social media platform Facebook. Until now, the company operated three creator monetization programs, which it will now combine into one. This will benefit creators, who will be able to earn money through the platform. Currently, there are three ways creators can make money on Facebook. These three methods are: In-Stream Ads, On-Reel Ads, and Bonus Performances. All three have different requirements and registration processors. Under the new monetization program, creators will now have to register in one place.
Meta recently announced that it paid nearly $2 billion to creators for Reels, video, text, and photos on its platform last year. The company also believes that creators are not able to fully leverage their potential on the platform. Only a third of creators can benefit from multiple monetization programs.
What changes were made
The new monetization policy will work like the old program. A performance-based payment model is now being introduced. With this, creators will be able to earn money from their Reels, long videos, photos, and text messages like before. Additionally, Meta will allow all creators access to a new Insights tab, allowing them to easily track revenue from different content and post formats.
How to apply for the new monetization program?
Meta’s new monetization feature is currently in beta mode. Meta is currently testing the new program with one million creators. It is possible that it will be presented to everyone by next year. Beta testing began this week.
