Is UPI code required to receive money?
If an unknown person asks you to scan the UPI code to receive money, be aware that this person is trying to trick you. According to the NCPI, QR codes are scanned not to receive money but to send money. There is no need to scan QR code or enter UPI PIN to receive money.
Is it okay to share UPI PIN?
Most people have understood that UPI PIN should not be shared with anyone, that’s why hackers trick people into downloading the app. If a transaction takes place in the app through which you make payment via UPI, your UPI PIN and other important financial information will reach the hacker. Overall, you should neither listen to any unknown person nor download any apps nor share your UPI PIN.

Don’t rush while making payment on any site, first check the site URL whether the site you are making payment on is safe or not?
Also install antivirus/anti-malware software on your phone, laptop and other devices. This software keeps you safe by identifying applications containing viruses and blocking them.
If an unknown person lures you to make money and asks you to send money, be careful. Don’t make the mistake of accepting payment requests.
