Technical News Office – Jio showcased special technology at the India Mobile Congress 2024 (IMC 2024). With its help, smart TVs installed in homes can be used as computers. Its name is Jio Cloud PC. Jio claims that this technology will convert TV into computer for just a few hundred rupees. The user will only need an internet connection, smart TV, keyboard, mouse and the Jio Cloud PC app. Jio claims that for users who don’t have a smart TV, their normal TV will also become a computer via the set-top box that comes with JioFiber or JioAirFiber.
What is Jio Cloud PC?
Jio Cloud PC is a technology through which any TV will be able to connect to cloud computing via the Internet.
How to use Jio Cloud PC
To use Jio Cloud PC, the user will have to log in to the created application of the same name. After that, all data stored in the cloud will start appearing on the TV. Jio claims that with the help of Jio Cloud PC, all work done on computer like email, messages, social media, internet browsing, school projects, office presentations can be done on TV at home. In simple language, all user data will be on the cloud and services like server, storage, database, networking, software and analytics can be used through TV.
Jio Cloud PC might be introduced next year. The Jio representative present at the Jio pavilion at IMC said that the company has partnered with Microsoft for Jio Cloud PC. To access it, an internet connection of at least 30Mbps will be required. People will be able to get a configuration with at least 4 GB of RAM. Jio Cloud PC with 16GB RAM was featured in IMC.
Jio says middle-class families in India barely have access to computers. This technology can benefit them. Because the capacity of cloud computing can be increased or decreased as needed. Data recovery is also easy in this regard. Apart from TV, it can also be used on mobile. However, the company is yet to announce the launch date of this app.
