Technical News Office – Krafton, the company behind popular mobile games like PUBG and BGMI, has launched a new mobile game ‘CookieRun India’ for Indian gamers. The company claims that more than 10 lakh pre-registrations have been done for this game and it will be available for Android and iOS users from December 11, 2024. This means that from this day onwards, the users will be able to download this game.

The company said CookieRun India was specially designed with Indians in mind. It will offer local and culturally rich experiences alongside the globally popular “Cookie Run” series. The game features some unique elements, including a cookie character inspired by popular Indian sweets like Gulab-Jamun and Kaju-Katli. Along with this, there will also be local in-game events, which will enhance the player experience.

Regarding this, Meenu Lee, head of publishing at Krafton, said that they developed this game in collaboration with Devsisters. We are excited to develop “Cookie Run India”. The responses we have received so far have lifted our spirits. The Indian elements have been beautifully incorporated in this game. It has been specially designed with Indian gamers in mind, which will give them a new experience with their favorite series.

The company says its goal is to release 3-4 new games next year. Speaking of statistics, Krafton India’s BGMI has been downloaded more than 20 million times. Krafton India plans to launch 3-4 new titles in 2025. This will further the company’s mission of providing diverse and immersive gaming experiences to Indian gamers. The company says it will invest over $140 million in Indian startups in the coming years.
