mobile press office,The Redmi K80 series is expected to launch in China by the end of November. Lately, details about some models in the series have been revealed through leaks. The series is expected to have a Pro model alongside the Redmi K80. A tipster on social media has claimed that the Redmi K80 Pro will receive a triple rear camera system, which will feature an ultra-wide lens and a telephoto lens along with the main sensor. The sensor details were also shared in the leak. Last Sunday, the design of the Redmi K80 series was reportedly revealed to the world through live images, which show a completely different camera module compared to the Redmi K70 series.
An account on Weibo named Smart Pikachu (translated from Chinese) has leaked the specifications of the alleged Redmi K80 Pro model. The tipster said that the upcoming Redmi smartphone will feature a triple rear camera system, featuring a 50-megapixel OmniVision Light Fusion 800 main sensor, similar to the Redmi K70 Pro. Additionally, the setup will include a 32-megapixel Samsung S5KKD1 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 telephoto lens with 2.6x zoom support. At the same time, it was claimed that the phone will receive an improved 20-megapixel OV20B front-facing shooter for selfies. A recent leak revealed that the Redmi K80 series will have a round camera module like the Xiaomi Civi. The same informant had shared a photo in his post, in which a smartphone was shown with a protective case. It was said to be the Redmi K80 Pro. In the photo, its camera module appeared round, similar to the Xiaomi Civi smartphone.
The Redmi K80 Pro is expected to have a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, while the standard K80 is said to launch with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The 3C certification of both devices revealed that they will support 120W fast charging. At the same time, both devices will probably have a battery with a capacity of around 6,000 mAh. If other leaks are to be believed, the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro will have a flat OLED panel. The vanilla model may come with a 1.5K resolution panel and an optical fingerprint sensor, while the Pro model is expected to have a 2K resolution and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
