Mobile press office – The Indonesian government has banned people from using the Apple iPhone 16. The government has declared the use of the iPhone illegal in the country. In fact, Indonesia banned the iPhone 16 due to Apple’s unfulfilled investment commitments in the country. The Indonesian government said in an order issued Friday that the use of any phone device without IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) certification is illegal. He said since the government did not allow the use of such a phone in the country, it could pose a security threat. The government has made it clear that before issuing the sales permit to the company, it will have to fulfill the conditions of pending investment and TKDN certification in the country.
iPhone cannot be brought even after purchasing it abroad
The Indonesian government has completely banned the sale and use of the Apple iPhone 16 in the country. Indonesian Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said it would be illegal to use an iPhone 16 in Indonesia and people should not buy it in another country and import it into the country. If anyone buys this device from abroad, strict action will be taken against them.
Apple reduced its investments
Indonesia’s Minister of Industry said that if anyone uses the iPhone 16, they must report it to the police. Let us tell you that Apple had promised to invest Rs 1.71 trillion in Indonesia but it only invested Rs 1.48 trillion.
