Attention Google Maps users! Do this work immediately, all your data will be deleted, Google will make a big change

Technical News Office – If you also use Google’s Maps service, there’s big news for you. In fact, the company will change the way it saves location history. Google announced last year that users could either save their Timeline data on the device or back it up in encrypted form on the cloud. Let us know in detail…

Warning received by email
Additionally, Google is now notifying users via email that if they want to save their location history, they will need to take immediate action. Otherwise, their data will be deleted. However, the deletion time may vary from user to user.

History will be saved locally
Google will now record location data separately for each device. This means that your timeline will no longer be embedded on the web. If you take no action, Google will delete the last 3 months of data first. After that, the new location history will be saved locally on the device itself.

How to back up your data?
Use Google Takeout and go to takeout.google.com.
Just check the “Location History (Timeline)” option.
Click “Next Step” and select “Create Export”.

export from phone settings
On your phone, go to Settings > Location > Location Services > Timeline.
Backup device specific data from here.
But once the changes are implemented, you will no longer be able to access Timeline on the web.
Location data varies for each device.

It’s a safe option
As Android Authority reports, some users chose the “Keep until deleted” option, but their data was still deleted. Therefore, using Google Takeout is a safe option. If you also want to backup your data, make a backup as soon as possible.
