Now, BSNL has finally launched it for users. For this technology, BSNL D2D has partnered with California-based Viasat. What is BSNL satellite-to-device service and what are its benefits?
This special service of BSNL is going to provide network in remote areas and places without network. This service will be used particularly in hilly and forested areas. Launching this service, the DOT shared a short video in which an overview of the satellite-to-device service is presented.

This service will help BSNL users in situations where cellular network or Wi-Fi connectivity is not available. Apart from calls, users can also send SOS i.e. emergency messages and make UPI payments through this service. The company has not clarified whether or not this feature will be available for normal calls and texts. Let us tell you that Apple company launched this feature for the first time in the market with the iPhone 14 series. But this service is not available in India.
