The technology company clarified that products that it stopped distributing for sale more than 5 years ago or less than 7 years ago are now part of this list. Apple stops providing hardware-related services for these devices and the others also stop receiving software updates.
As for the difference between vintage devices and devices declared obsolete, hardware services for vintage devices may be limited, but they may still be provided with certain software updates. At the same time, for outdated devices, hardware-related services are not only stopped, but they also do not receive any software updates. In such a situation, buying old Apple devices may turn out to be a wrong decision. Such devices cannot be repaired either.
