Mobile press office – Samsung is gearing up to launch its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, soon. This new device is expected to launch in early 2025 and will help Samsung maintain its leading position in the smartphone market.
Launch and price
According to leaks, Samsung may launch the Galaxy S25 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco on January 23, 2025. This device could possibly be available in the market by February 6. Regarding the price, this subject remains at the center of debate. The Galaxy S24 Ultra was priced at $1,299, but the price could increase due to the use of new technologies like Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and rising material costs. However, Samsung has not confirmed this yet.
Design and display
Minor changes are expected to be made to the design of the device, but the premium titanium frame of the S24 Ultra will be retained. According to the leak, it will likely feature a 6.9-inch display, thinner bezels, and a more ergonomic design. However, Samsung will continue to use the M13 OLED display technology and will not include new technologies like the M14 panel. Color options for the device may include titanium, black, green and blue as well as distinctive colors like jade and pink.
camera and screen
Samsung is paying more attention to its camera system this time, especially to compete with competitors like Apple. The ultra-wide lens can be upgraded from 12MP to 50MP. Telephoto lenses can have “variant focal length,” which will improve zoom transitions. Although there has been speculation about the removal of the second telephoto lens, reports suggest that Samsung will keep the quad-lens setup. With the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, this phone will bring a big improvement in performance. According to early benchmarks, it will have a 40% faster CPU and 42% better GPU performance. Additionally, the RAM can be expanded up to 16GB, which will improve multitasking and AI functionality.
Battery and software
The battery capacity is probably 5,000 mAh, but the battery life may be longer due to the better efficiency of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. The charging speed will be 45W. The device will run One UI 7 with Android 15 and will benefit from Samsung’s commitment to providing software updates over a long period of time.
AI Features
Samsung is expected to further improve the AI features of this phone. It could add generative AI technology to the Bixby assistant and other apps. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is a strong contender in the premium smartphone market thanks to its upgrades. It now remains to be seen to what extent Samsung meets customer expectations.
