Drone registration: Drone registration is mandatory to fly a drone in India. For this, you will need to apply by visiting a DigitalSky online portal.
Drone acknowledgment number: After registering the drone, you will receive a drone acknowledgment number. You will always need to keep this number with your drone. This is the unique identification number (UIN) of the drone.
Geolocation: Indian airspace is divided into three parts: the green zone, the yellow zone and the red zone. Drone flight conditions are different in these three areas.
remote pilot license: Before flying a drone, you must obtain a remote pilot license. This license is obtained after completing the prescribed training and passing the exam.

Where can’t drones fly?
Green zone: This is an area where you can fly a drone without any permission, but with certain limitations. In this area, you can fly the drone up to a height of 400 feet or 120 meters. If you want to fly a drone at a height higher than this, you will need to obtain permission from the relevant authority.
Yellow zone: Flying drones are prohibited in this airspace. If you want to fly a drone here, you will need to obtain permission from the air traffic control authority. The radius of 8 and 12 kilometers from an operational airport is called the yellow zone.
Red zone: This is an area where drone flying is strictly prohibited. These are very sensitive areas, like military bases, etc. Only the central government can allow drone flying here.
