From now on, traveling by train will be easy! Railways will launch All In One app and do all the work from booking tickets to food

Technical News Office – So far, people depend on the IRCTC app or website for most of the train services. The railways are now gearing up to launch an all-in-one ‘super app’ for passenger services. Through the new app, people will be able to book tickets as well as platform tickets. They will be able to know the train timetables. According to a report, the Central Railway Information System (CRIS) is working on a new application in collaboration with the existing IRCTC platform. A senior official told ET that IRCTC will continue to act as an interface between passengers booking tickets and CRIS.

Work on creating the application is still in progress. It is worth noting that until now people use different apps for different train services. For example, IRCTC Rail Connect is used to book tickets. IRCTC e-Catering Food on Track is used to track food. The Rail Help Service is used for feedback. Among all the services, IRCTC’s Rail Connect is the most popular. It has received over 100 million downloads. All reserved tickets are booked through this one.

IRCTC earned a net profit of Rs 1,111.26 crore and a turnover of Rs 4,270.18 crore in the financial year 2023-24, ET reported. In terms of tickets, its platform generated 453 million bookings, generating 30.33 percent of IRCTC’s revenue.
