Good news for millions of BSNL users! People will benefit from 5G high-speed internet from today, government sets deadline

Technical News Office –The indigenous 4G technology is developed by the government telecom company BSNL. In such a situation, the deadline for 5G service has been set by the government. The government will install 1 lakh base stations by May 2025 next year. After this, the company will move to 5G service by June 2025. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia revealed this. The minister said at the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum that India has kept pace with the world in terms of 4G, while keeping pace with the world in terms of 5G. Additionally, India leads the world in 6G technology.

BSNL’s 5G network will be built entirely in India.
The minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is clear: the government undertaking will not use anyone else’s equipment. Let us tell you that Chinese equipment is used in 5G and 6G networks all over the world. In such a situation, the government has banned entry from China. He said we have a fully functional core network and radio access. Besides, there are plans to create 1 lakh sites in April-May next year. BSNL launches its own 4G network, entirely made in India. This 4G network will be converted to 5G by June 2025. Scindia said we will be the sixth country in the world to do so.

BSNL 5G in collaboration with Tata
Help from government firm C-DOT and IT firm TCS is underway to implement the BSNL 4G service. The government says India is launching 5G service at the fastest pace in the world. Besides, 4.5 lakh towers were installed in 22 months. This covers approximately 80 percent of the country’s population. It can also increase the speed of the broadband connection.

Cheapest data and calls in the world
Scindia claims that voice calls are available at the lowest rates in India. About 10 years ago, the call rate was 50 paise, which has now become 3 paise. This means that the cost of calls has been reduced by 96 percent. Similarly, 10 years ago, the price of internet was Rs 289 per GB, which is now halved.
