CERT-In has issued this alert regarding the latest issue in Google Chrome.
Along with this, the agency also warned users to update it immediately. CERT-In says that if users ignore this, hackers and scammers can take advantage of this browser flaw to control your device, increasing the chances of a scam. CERT-In said that the latest issue found in Google Chrome browser can also lead to financial fraud on you, so you need to be very careful.
These users are also at risk of cyberattack
According to security agency CERT-In, the latest Google Chrome security flaw could affect versions older than 129.0.6668.70/.71 for Windows and Mac, and 129.0.6668.70 for Linux. So, if your Chrome browser is older than this version, update it immediately. According to the agency, hackers can take advantage of the security glitch and send fake requests to trick you.
CERT-In said that if you receive a link or message from an unknown user, avoid clicking on it. Along with this, the agency also asked users to keep Google Chrome’s auto-update setting enabled. So if you forget to update the Chrome browser, it will be updated automatically.
