Mobile press office – HMD is working on a new smartphone. The company has announced the launch of a new special edition in partnership with Marvel’s upcoming Venom: The Last Dance film. The company described it as the “ultimate symbiotic phone.” Let us tell you that just a few days ago the company had introduced HMD Fusion. Which was presented during IFA 2024 which was held in September. It has a 108 MP camera. Most of its specifications might remain the same in the upcoming special edition.

In the post This phone is expected to include design elements inspired by Venom, while in terms of specifications, there will not be much difference from the current version. In the teaser video published on X, we can see that Venom (Symbiote) covers the Fusion phone. It may also be available in a dark color variant. While Fusion is already available in dark brown color.
Apart from that, many things like fusion can be kept there. Such as modular design, flashlight module, 5W wireless charging module, option to choose rugged or funky color housing, as well as open source fusion kit hardware-software bundle and a Gen 2 repairability facility. By doing this you will be able to repair the phone at home.

Display: The phone may have a 6.56-inch HD+ 90Hz LCD display, the maximum brightness of which will be 600 nits.
Processor: It may have a 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, with performance cores clocked at 2.2 GHz.
Camera: Like the Fusion, it may also have a 108 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth sensor on the rear panel, while it would have a 50 MP camera for selfies.
Battery: It is expected to have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging.
Storage: The original variant comes in 4/6/8 GB RAM and 128/256 GB storage. However, what variations will it have? That remains to be seen.
Connectivity: It may have Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6 and USB-C 2.0.
Software: It may have Android 14.
when does it launch
HMD also collaborated with Mattel to introduce a Barbie phone in August 2024. Although it is a feature phone, the Venom edition is a smartphone. More information about it may be revealed in the coming days ahead of launch. The film opens worldwide on October 25. Apart from this, the phone will also enter on the same day.
