If you also want to change your telecom operator, know these 5 guidelines first, otherwise you will incur losses.

Technical News Office – Telecom regulator TRAI recently released a new guideline for mobile number portability i.e. MNP. To create awareness among the millions of telecom users in the country, TRAI has published an article on mobile number portability from its official X ID. TRAI explained the things that customers need to keep in mind before switching operators. In recent times, after the plans of private telecom companies became costly, thousands of users have ported their numbers to BSNL.

If you also want to change your operator then follow the new guidelines of TRAI. TRAI said in its ex-post that MNP i.e. Mobile Number Portability is a process in which customers can change their service provider without changing their mobile number. The MNP process involves the telecommunications user as well as the existing service provider and the new service provider as well as the Mobile Number Portability Service Provider (MNPSP). The mobile number portability service provider completes the back-end porting process between two service providers.

The operator will not be able to change for these 5 reasons
If a user has been using the existing telecom operator’s service for less than 90 days, then he or she is not eligible for mobile number portability.
The MNP cannot be done even if a request for transfer of ownership of the user’s number is in progress.
Even if postpaid users have not paid the existing operator’s bill, their number will not be eligible for portability.
Even if a court has prohibited the porting of a user’s number, it cannot be ported.
Apart from this, if the number for which porting has been requested is pending in court, it cannot be ported.
