Technical News Office –Rating agency DXOMark has released the display test results of the iPhone 16. In this, the iPhone ranks 40th in the DXOMark Lab display scorecard. This is a very low rating for an Apple device. At the same time, Android flagships like Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones are in the top 10. Along with this, mid-range Android smartphones Pixel 9a and Galaxy A35, also got better ratings than Apple.
iPhone 16 DXOMark Display Review
Apple’s latest iPhone 16 received a very low rating in the DXOMark display rating. DXOMark said on its blog that Apple’s latest iPhone 16 has average brightness. Along with this, there is also a brightness issue in HDR10 and SDR videos. Along with this, Docsmark also states that due to auto-brightness, the screen becomes very dim in dark room conditions, making it almost difficult to read. Along with this, the brightness suddenly increases as soon as SDR and HDR content is played.
DXOMark also says it noticed an orange cast in HDR10 photos and videos. This issue occurs when the True Tone feature is enabled on the iPhone. Additionally, contrast is very low in SDR content in low light conditions. DXOMark in its report also raised questions regarding the touch response at the edge of the screen. Along with this, the touchscreen stops working as soon as the new camera control button is used. Along with this, the iPhone 16 has a display panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, which leaves it far behind other flagship smartphones.

DXOMark also praised the iPhone 16’s screen in many cases. This display renders HDR10 content well and also distributes accurate colors. Along with this, the screen offers readable output in both indoor and outdoor conditions. Along with this, effective blue light filtering has been provided on the iPhone 16 display. DXOMark claims to provide labels that are comfortable for the eyes.
