Android users have undoubtedly had the ability to record calls for a long time, but that’s not the case with Apple’s iPhone. Since the launch of the iPhone, Apple has not offered the ability to record calls to users. Now, for the first time in the iOS 18.1 update, the call recording option along with the Apple Intelligence (AI) feature is also available and a new icon has started appearing on the call screen.
Here’s how to record calls on iPhone
To record a call on Apple iPhone, you must first dial or receive the call.
After that, you will see a new white colored save icon at the top left.
After pressing it, there will be an announcement that the call is being recorded and the recording will begin.
A banner appearing on the screen will indicate that the call is being recorded. Additionally, through the announcement, the other person will also receive information about the call being recorded.
You can also stop this recording whenever you want. Its audio file will be automatically saved in the device.
Keep in mind that the call recording and transcription feature is only available on the iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 15 Pro series. For this, your device must be updated to iOS 18.1 or later. You should know that recording a call without the knowledge and permission of the other person is illegal in India and is a violation of section 21. Before recording a call, it is important that you obtain the permission of the other person.
