Technical News Office – Nowadays, most Indians make their payments through UPI. For the convenience of users, Paytm has launched a new feature related to UPI Lite. Paytm has launched the UPI Lite auto-recharge feature to facilitate daily microtransactions. With this new feature, Paytm UPI Lite users can set a limit on their account, if the limit is reduced, your Paytm account will be automatically recharged. This way the money will be credited to your account without the need for a PIN.
This is how the auto recharge feature of Paytm UPI Lite will work.
Using this feature, users can set the minimum wallet balance on Paytm. When your Paytm account balance falls below, Paytm will automatically recharge your Paytm account from your linked bank account. This recharge can be up to Rs 500. That is, if the money in your Paytm account becomes less than the prescribed limit, Rs 500 will be automatically debited from your account. Note that this feature is for Paytm UPI Lite wallet users. For example, if a user sets a minimum balance of Rs 100, the wallet will automatically be recharged from their bank account whenever the balance falls below Rs 100. Users can choose the recharge amount, but it cannot exceed Rs 2,000 and five recharges are allowed per day.
UPI Lite Auto Top-up is a good option for low-value payments: like if you are topping up your metro card, or if you are driving somewhere and need to make a payment, or if you are having tea, coffee and snacks somewhere you won’t get any. don’t worry about such small payments because your Paytm UPI Lite wallet will be recharged automatically. Let us tell you that currently this feature is only available on UPI handles of Yes Bank and Axis Bank, soon other partner banks like SBI and HDFC Bank will also launch it. Activate UPI Lite on the Paytm app by linking your bank account. Select the auto recharge option and set the minimum balance auto recharge limit.
What is UPI Lite?
UPI Lite is a facility launched by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to facilitate small value transactions directly from the wallet on the device linked to users’ bank account. With this feature, users can make payments below Rs 500 without OTP or PIN. Users can add up to Rs 2,000 to their UPI Lite wallet and spend up to Rs 2,000 per day.
