The event will begin at 3:30 PM IST and can be watched live via the OnePlus website or its official YouTube channel. Built on the latest Android 15 operating system, this software upgrade will bring many exciting features and performance improvements.
Beta will come first
The company announced that the OxygenOS 15 deployment roadmap will also be shared during the launch. Users will be notified when their device receives the update, with the beta likely to arrive first, followed by a stable release for some devices. Like previous updates, OnePlus will roll out the update for its flagships and new devices first.
What will be special about OxygenOS 15?
Some special features of OxygenOS 15 were mentioned in a teaser posted on OnePlus’ social media channel. According to the company, the update will optimize memory usage, giving users more space to store their photos, music, and documents. Along with this, a special feature is going to arrive through which an item or object can be cut out of the photo and placed on the phone’s lock screen.
The update will be available only on these devices
Although OnePlus has not officially released the list of devices getting OxygenOS 15, leaks and reports suggest that several flagship and mid-range phones, including the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R devices launching in 2024, will benefit from this update.
