Technical News Office – For the past month and a half I have been using the Philips tax2208 speaker. Philips introduced it keeping in mind people who have to celebrate small functions like birthday parties etc. at home. The price of this party speaker is Rs 3499. In such a situation, the question is whether one should spend so much money to buy a speaker? There are many other things like its design, build quality and audio output. I will tell everything here.
Design and build quality
This party speaker belongs to the 2000 series from Philips, so its design is similar to other speakers from the company. When you hold it, you feel like it’s a branded speaker. It has the Philips badge on the top and plenty of buttons to control it. It has a metal grille on the front, the entire speaker is made of ABS plastic, quite solid. You will not face any problem in terms of portability since its weight is around 3KG. Thanks to this you can easily take it anywhere. A handle has been provided to hold it and there is also a phone holder on its side.
Amazing light effect
There are many buttons on the top of the speaker, which have different functions. As soon as you turn on the speaker, the lighting effect turns on, which is very cute. These effects come in four colors that really create the atmosphere of the night. Using speakers with lighting effects drains the battery quickly. If you don’t use it in light effect, you get a little more backup.
sound quality
Philips TAX2208 has an 8-inch woofer, which provides good indoor sound quality. But there may be some distortion when playing outdoors. I used it mostly indoors, so my experience there was good.
Battery
The speaker takes 2.5 hours to charge, the company has provided a 3000mAh battery which lasts for 5-6 hours without using any light effects. But if you use it with light effect, the battery backup will decrease. Overall, if I had to give it a rating, I would give it 4 out of 5. I found this speaker excellent for its price. If you like to party at home, you can buy it without any hesitation.
