Mobile press office – Samsung recently confirmed the launch of its new foldable phone Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition by sharing a teaser. Samsung South Korea itself released a teaser video and confirmed that it will launch its new Galaxy device on October 21. The video shows a thin foldable phone in an envelope. This phone is said to be exclusive to China and South Korea markets only. Information on whether or not it will be launched in other countries has not yet been revealed. This will be Samsung’s most expensive smartphone to date. It is also said to be a slim version of the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6. Apart from this, many improved features and specifications will be seen in the upcoming phone.
What will be special about the special edition phone?
According to the HT Tech report, the Galaxy Fold 6 Special Edition will be a slimmer version of the standard model and will come with several design improvements. It is said that the thickness of the special edition when folded will be only 10.6mm. While the thickness of the standard model when folded is 12.1mm, the special edition will be 1.5mm thinner. It is said that it will also have a titanium body like the Galaxy S24 Ultra with S Pen support. The special edition will not only be thinner but also lighter than the standard model.
The screen will be larger than the previous model
There will also be a change in the display size of the Special Edition. Reportedly, the phone will have a 6.5-inch cover screen, which will be larger than the standard model’s 6.3-inch cover screen. Apart from this, the special edition will come with an 8-inch main display, which will be slightly larger than the 7.6-inch display on the standard model. Apart from this, three camera sensors will be visible in the new model, apart from the rounded corners.
Will get a 200-megapixel main camera
The Galaxy Fold 6 Special Edition is said to have a triple rear camera setup, which will include a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x zoom. It is also said that the special edition model will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which will offer better performance efficiency than before. Apart from this, the special edition model will have a 4,400mAh battery with 25W support. In the previous report, it was stated that its production will also be limited, around 4-5 lakh units would be manufactured.
