WABetaInfo has given information about this new upcoming feature in WhatsApp. WABetaInfo spotted this feature in WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.24.24.21 available on Google Play Store. You can see this feature in the shared screenshot. In this you can see that the company is preparing to provide a new feature of mentioning group chat in the status update. After the introduction of this feature, users will be able to notify all group members simultaneously. The new feature will eliminate the need to mention all group members separately in the status update. Currently, the company offers the ability to mention up to 5 individual contacts for status updates.

After enabling the group mention feature, users will be able to notify all group members about the status update simultaneously. With group mentions, users won’t need to adjust privacy settings to view status updates from a specific contact. Status updates from the group mention will automatically be visible to all group members. This has nothing to do with existing WhatsApp settings. According to the report, with the introduction of this feature, users sending direct messages will get a lot of convenience as they will be able to send messages to all group members at the same time.

A stable update could be rolling out soon
Nothing can yet be said with certainty about the limits of this new WhatsApp feature. It is believed that the company can decide how many users are eligible for the endorsement. However, it wouldn’t be right to talk about it now. Currently, this feature is under development and once beta testing is completed, its stable version can be rolled out to users around the world.
