The company has come up with an offer on a plan of Rs 599. BSNL claims that prepaid users can now enjoy additional data with its prepaid recharge plan of Rs 599. This plan has a validity of 84 days. This includes 3GB daily data along with unlimited local and STD calls on all networks and 100 daily SMSes. Apart from the daily benefits, BSNL customers will also get 3GB of additional data.
The prepaid recharge plan also includes value-added services such as music and video streaming app Zing, personal ringback tone, Astrotel and GameOn. All plan benefits are applicable only when recharging with the BSNL SelfCare app, available for Android and iOS platforms. The company also offers similar benefits with its Rs 299 prepaid recharge plan, but it has a validity of 30 days.
BSNL Chairman and Managing Director Robert Ravi recently announced that the company will not increase tariffs. Instead, it will focus on improving the quality of its services to retain new customers after telecom operators like Airtel and Reliance Jio increased their prices in India. This increase helped BSNL add 2.9 million subscribers in India in July. The company plans to increase its market share in the country to 25% by 2025.
