Mobile press office – Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro are expected to launch in China next week. The brand announced it Thursday in a post on social networks. Flagship smartphones with HyperOS 2.0 will be introduced with Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi Pad 7 series and Band 9 Pro. The Chinese tech brand also shared a few photos of the phone to reveal its design. The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to be introduced with the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. It will feature Xiaomi’s HyperCore technology.
Xiaomi revealed via Weibo that the Xiaomi 15 series will launch on October 29. The launch event will begin at 7:00 p.m. local time (4:30 p.m. IST) in China. The company will also showcase the Xiaomi Pad 7, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, and Xiaomi Band 9 Pro series at the event. The HyperOS 2.0 skin based on Android 15 will also be showcased at the event.
The first posters of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro show a sleek design with a micro-curved display and an advanced triple-camera setup powered by Leica. The rear camera layout resembles the design of the Xiaomi 14 series modules. The color options are also similar to the previous series.
Just like previous models, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro have thin edges and rounded corners. The frame of the vanilla model is made of aviation aluminum. The thickness of the Xiaomi 15 Pro will be 8.35 mm and its weight will be 213 grams. It will have a quad-curved display, which will be covered with Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0. The vanilla Xiaomi 15 is confirmed to have a 6.36-inch display.
Adam Zeng, Executive Vice President of Xiaomi, confirmed earlier this week that the Xiaomi 15 series will be the first smartphone to adopt the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC in the global market. It will feature Xiaomi’s HyperCore technology. The range is expected to launch in markets outside China in the coming months.
