Technical News Office – Xiaomi unveiled its smart glasses in 2021, which at the time was the company’s first wearable eye device. Looking like regular sunglasses, this smart glass was equipped with many smart features, including real-time text navigation and translation, etc. A report now claims that Xiaomi is working on its next-generation smart glasses. For this, the company has partnered with the Goertek brand. Not only that, Xiaomi is said to have directly stated that its upcoming smart glasses will challenge the Meta Ray-ban smart glasses launched last year.
IThome, citing a report, said that Xiaomi is working on its next-generation smart glasses, for which the company has partnered with Goertek. Its direct competition will be the Ray-ban Meta smart glasses introduced last year. A senior company official also reportedly claimed that the company was targeting at least 3 lakh shipping numbers. It is said that these smart glasses will include AI integration, an audio headset component and a camera module, similar to Meta’s line of high-tech glasses. It is expected to arrive in the second quarter of next year.
There is definitely a big buzz in the smart glasses market right now. After Meta Ray-Ban, many other brands are rapidly working on such smart glasses, which will look like traditional glasses, but will have many AI features and a long range of sensors, which will allow the user to track the smartphone while on the move. Will provide the ability to perform many tasks in a jiffy without the need for it.
Just a few years ago, Xiaomi presented its first smart glasses model, which came with many smart features. It was quite light, weighing 51 grams. Micro LED optical web guide technology has been used, so messages and notifications can be displayed in front of the user’s eyes. Additionally, calls could also be made through them, navigation could be done using AR, photos could be taken, and text could be translated before your eyes.
