The first developer preview of Android 16 is currently available for Google Pixel devices. In February this year, Google released the first developer preview of Android 15. In such a situation, the company started preparations for its upcoming mobile operating system around 3 months in advance.
Many types of bugs and flaws can be seen in the first developer preview of Android 16. Google has named Android 16 Baklava. Many features are expected to be upgraded in Google’s upcoming Android operating system. The security and privacy features of this operating system will be improved. In addition, there is also the possibility of improving the user experience. Four important features of Android 16 were seen in the first developer preview.

In Android 16, users will also have the option to share audio from compatible devices like headphones, etc. Users will be able to play audio from any of their devices through their smartphone. However, the working of this feature will be clearly known in the coming times.
The notification cooldown feature may be provided in the upcoming mobile operating system. This feature will prevent users from being disturbed by notifications. If multiple notifications start arriving on the user’s phone simultaneously at short intervals, the device will automatically activate the notification cooling mode, due to which users will not be disturbed.
In Android 16, users will have the option to further reduce the screen brightness. With this feature, the user’s screen brightness will be much lower than normal.
Apart from these three features, a significant upgrade can also be seen in Google’s privacy features. As a result, the security of user devices will improve and the risk of data theft will be reduced.

The stable version of Android 16 will be released by June next year. This developer preview was released with build number BP21.241018.009. This developer preview can be tested on Google Pixel 9 Series, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 8 Series, Pixel 8a, Pixel Fold, Pixel 7a, Pixel 7 Series, Pixel 6 Series, and Pixel 6a.
