Technical News Office – Global e-commerce platform Amazon has decided to enter the fast commerce space in the Indian market. A new report has revealed that Amazon may launch a fast e-commerce service called ‘Tez’ in India. So, the goods will be delivered to customers in just 10 minutes. It is clear that this service will directly compete with options like Blinkit and Zepto.
Of course, Amazon has not yet made any announcement or given any information about the new service, but the Economic Times revealed it in its report citing sources. It has been learned that Amazon is gearing up to start its new venture and the company may launch a fast delivery service in India. We learn that his code name was kept as Tez but it does not have to be the final name. The report states that Amazon’s new service may be integrated into the existing app under a new name. It is expected that it may be introduced in some cities in December 2024 or early next year 2025.
Other fast delivery apps will compete
Amazon’s rapid entry into the e-commerce space could pose a major challenge to existing apps and platforms. This list currently includes big names like Blinkit, Swiggy, Instamart and Zepto. Amazon already has a large user base of online shoppers, so it won’t face the challenge of reaching new customers. If users want to order goods quickly, Amazon app can be useful instead of any other app.
At present, the fast e-commerce market is growing rapidly in India and after major cities, its need is also felt at tier 2 and tier 3. Especially after the Covid-19 lockdown, users are finding more convenient to order products from home. The report states that Amazon has also started hiring for the new service, so it could take a few months for the company to launch it.
