Technical News Office – UIDAI, the originator of Aadhaar, urges Aadhaar card holders to check the details present in the Aadhaar card and update them if they are incorrect. Especially people who created their Aadhar card 10 years ago and haven’t updated it since. If any detail is written incorrectly in your Aadhaar or if any of your details have changed, correct it immediately. Until December 14, UIDAI is offering the facility to update Aadhaar details for free.

Last date to update Aadhaar for free
The UIDAI has set December 14, 2024 as the last date for free online updates through the myAadhaar portal. After this date, a nominal fee of Rs 50 will be charged for updating each detail from the Aadhaar center. So, till December 14, you can update address proof, identity proof and other information in Aadhaar for free.

Update details in Aadhaar online like this
1. Go to myAadhaar portal and log in using your Aadhaar number and OTP.
2. Click on the “Document Update” option.
3. Read the instructions carefully and continue by clicking “Next”.
4. Provide valid identity and address proof such as passport, voter ID or ration card.
5. Submit the documents and note the Service Request Number (SRN) to track the status of your update.
